In these economic times few family owned businesses have
been able to survive the large corporate retail giants, but one right here in
North Georgia, Gainesville Jewelry, is here to stay. Thirty years of making
customers happy is a record that very few family owned business could brag
about. In 1978 Phil Forrester opened a small pawnshop with only $8,500 he
borrowed from his father, Red Forrester. Starting out with a small amount of
money and a tiny 600 square foot shop on the West side of Gainesville on Old
Atlanta Highway, Gainesville Jewelry has grown into a multi-million dollar
jewelry store. What is the secret recipe? “Making customers happy and giving
them the best possible value for their hard earned money is what motivates us”
said Forrester. Today Gainesville Jewelry operates out of a 10,000 square foot
building located in the heart of Gainesville on Jesse Jewell Parkway and
employees over 20 fulltime salespeople, most of whom have worked at Gainesville
Jewelry for many years.
Gainesville Jewelry offers to
all of its customers a unique Repair Department in that most all jewelry
repairs- sizing rings, chain solders or stone setting - can be done while you
watch. Three fulltime expert goldsmiths on the premises ensure customer
convenience.
Phil
Forrester prides himself on the fact that he has been able to cut out the
middleman and save customers a huge amount of money on diamonds, platinum, gold,
colored stone and estate jewelry. Today, Gainesville Jewelry is often the first
place a manufacturer will go if they need to liquidate jewelry. This allows
Forrester to purchase beautiful jewelry for fractions of a dollar and in turn
sell it to his customers for up to 75% off suggested retail prices.
Tacori,
Jack Kelege, Richard Landi and Scott Kay are just a few of the well-known custom
jewelry designer lines displayed for sale at Gainesville Jewelry. These jewelry
pieces are hand-made of platinum with beautiful white and fancy yellow, pink and
blue diamonds. If you want something unique, beautiful and lasting at a very
good value you must visit Gainesville Jewelry.
